For organizers
Set up a tournament, season, or buddy trip. Same chassis, different time horizons.
Tournaments are short bursts (a weekend, a single event). Seasons run weeks or months. Buddy trips are tournaments with travel and lodging context attached.
Pick the scoring format that runs across all events. Stableford and stroke are most common for seasons; brackets and match play for tournaments. Each event inside the tournament can have its own format too.
Set the buy-in and the payout structure. caddie.fun supports flat (winner takes all), graduated (1st/2nd/3rd splits), and custom payout tables.
Heads up: Buy-ins are held in escrow for the entire season or tournament. Players cannot withdraw their buy-in once locked.
Add players directly or share a join code. You can mark the tournament as private (invite only), group-only, or public. Public tournaments appear in Discover.
For tournaments, set the bracket or event dates. For seasons, set the recurrence (weekly, biweekly) and the close date. Each event can have its own course and tee time.
As events complete, the leaderboard auto-updates. When the final event closes, the prize pool settles automatically based on your payout structure.
For participants
You got an invite to a tournament or season. Here is how it works on your side.
Open the invite, review the buy-in, format, and schedule, then tap Join. Your buy-in moves into the tournament escrow.
All events show up in your Schedule tab with reminders. For seasons, only confirmed events appear; for tournaments, the bracket shows.
Show up, score live like a normal round. Your scores feed into the tournament/season leaderboard automatically.
Live standings update after every event. Push notifications fire when you are bumped up or down a position.
Final payouts settle automatically when the tournament closes. You will see a recap showing your performance, your peers, and the breakdown.
