Two-person teams
Four players in two pairs. Each side plays one ball.
Strict rotation
Player A tees, Player B hits second, A third, and so on until holed.
Tee order can flip by hole

Yes in spirit. Foursomes is the classic Ryder Cup name for pure alternate shot from the tee.
How is this different from Greensomes?
Greensomes lets both partners tee off before picking a drive and alternating. Alternate Shot / Foursomes is one ball from the start.
