Open Play
A duel beyond your crew. Your course, your time.
Open Play is a money-free remote duel between eligible golfers. Agree to the same window, play separate courses, and see who beat their own expected score by more.
The app explains eligibility and rating status before you agree. If the pool is quiet, post an open offer without pretending someone is already waiting.

The problem
Finding a game should not require the same tee time.
You might have an hour to play on Saturday while a good opponent has a different course across town. A remote duel gives both golfers one agreed window and a result that accounts for their own course, without asking strangers to exchange money.
The duel journey
One agreement. Two rounds. One result.

Ratings, honestly
A winner does not require a made-up rating.
While verified play is still gathering enough evidence to calibrate open ratings, a duel can be won or lost without changing a public rating. The app names that state before you offer, accept, or inspect the result.
When ratings become active, only an eligible result under the then-current rules can affect them. Earlier friendly duels are not silently turned into rated matches later.

Separate courses, one window, verified cards, a correction path, and no money between strangers.
Questions
Common questions
What is Open Play?
Open Play lets eligible golfers beyond the same crew agree to a friendly remote duel. Each plays an eligible 18-hole round on their own course within one shared time window.
Do we need to play together?
No. Both golfers accept the same duel window, then play their own courses. The result compares how each golfer performed against their own course-adjusted expectation.
Does Open Play involve money?
No. Open Play duels are money-free. Accepting an offer never authorizes a wager, entry fee, or payment between golfers.
How do I become eligible?
The in-app checklist shows each required step: opt in, verify your phone, complete profile details, and record the required verified live rounds before making or accepting offers.
What if there is nobody available?
The app says when no eligible golfer is available. You can post an open offer with a window so another eligible golfer can find it later; a posted offer is not a promised match.
How is the winner decided?
Each golfer plays an eligible 18-hole round in the agreed window. The duel compares each card against that golfer's expected score for their own course, then shows the margin in strokes.
Are these duels rated?
The app tells you whether ratings are active before you agree. While the verification model is still gathering evidence, duels can have a winner but do not change a public open rating.
Can I correct a score or dispute a result?
A provisional result has a correction and dispute window. Both golfers see its status; a disputed result goes to moderator review before it becomes final.
Can I block or report another golfer?
Yes. Player rows and offers include block and report controls. Blocks are checked before offers and matches are created, and the other golfer is not shown your private reason.
Can I play again with the same person?
After a duel, you can request a rematch or add the golfer when the same safety and eligibility rules allow it. Your completed result stays in the duel history.
