For players
You got an invite. Here is how to join, score, and get paid.
Tap the invite link or scan the QR code. You will land in the round lobby with the format, stake, and group already set by the host.
Pick your tee box - this affects par for net scoring. Confirm your handicap is current. Both can be changed up until the host taps Start.
When you are ready, tap Pay entry. Funds move from your wallet into round escrow. You will see a green Confirmed badge once locked in.
Heads up: If your wallet does not have enough cfUSD, you will be prompted to top up. The host cannot start the round until every player has confirmed.
Enter your score on each hole as you finish it. Live leaderboard updates after every entry. You can dispute or correct any hole until the round is finalized.
When the host taps Finalize, payouts settle automatically. Winners get cfUSD in their wallet, losers see their loss reflected, and the recap shows full breakdowns.
For hosts
You are setting up the round. This is the canonical setup flow, plus the gotchas.
From Play, tap Create round. Search for your course and pick the date/tee time. Course teebox data, par, and handicaps populate automatically.
Pick from the supported formats. Each has a short description and a link into this guide for the rules. The format determines how scores are evaluated and how payouts split.
Pick the per-player entry fee. caddie.fun shows the implied prize pool and the payout breakdown for the format you picked. You can also enable side games like presses, closest-to-pin, and longest drive.
Heads up: Stakes are locked once the round starts. Pick the number you would still be comfortable with if you played your worst round of the year.
Add players by username, phone, or email - or generate a share link/QR code. caddie.fun checks each invitee's wallet status before they can confirm.
Once everyone has confirmed entry, tap Start. The round goes live and scoring opens. You retain host privileges for disputes and finalization.
When all groups have finished, review the leaderboard and tap Finalize. Payouts settle instantly. If anyone disputes, the round is held for review for up to 24 hours.
FAQ
Skins is best for groups of 4 with mixed skill levels. Match play is best head-to-head. Nassau works well for a fun social round with a back-nine comeback opportunity. Stroke is the simplest if you are new to staked play.
Yes - every format supports gross or net. Net uses each player's handicap to level the field. We recommend net unless your group is at the same handicap.
Side games settle separately from the main format. They show up as line items in the recap, and payouts are added to the same settlement.
On unpaid friendly rounds, the creator can change format, scoring, or teams mid-round with majority approval from other players. Paid rounds lock format and stakes once play starts. You can still add late joiners to the player list.
