Cookie Policy
Caddie Fun Inc. ("us", "we", "our", or "Caddie Fun") uses cookies and similar technologies on the caddie.fun website and mobile application (the "Service").
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what types we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
Effective Date: July 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide usage information to site operators.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and device identifiers used by mobile applications.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
| Cookie / Storage Key | Purpose | Duration | | -------------------- | ------------------------------------------- | ----------------------- | | Session token | Maintains your authenticated session | Until logout or 30 days | | CSRF token | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks | Session | | Authentication state | Tracks login status via Privy | Session | | Cookie consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 12 months |
Functional Cookies
These cookies remember your choices and preferences to provide a more personalized experience.
| Cookie / Storage Key | Purpose | Duration | | --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | -------------- | | Theme preferences | Remembers display settings | 12 months | | Notification settings | Stores notification preference state | 12 months | | Recent courses | Caches recently viewed courses for quick access | 30 days | | Onboarding progress | Tracks which onboarding steps you have completed | Until complete |
Analytics Cookies
These cookies and similar storage help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. When you are signed in, product analytics (PostHog) may associate usage events with your account so we can diagnose issues and improve features. Analytics are gated by DNT/GPC and cookie consent where applicable.
| Cookie / Storage Key | Purpose | Duration | | -------------------- | ------------------------------------------- | --------- | | Usage analytics | Page views, feature usage, session duration | 12 months | | Performance metrics | Page load times, error rates | Session | | Feature engagement | Which features are used and how often | 12 months |
Advertising Measurement
We run our own paid acquisition campaigns (for example Google Ads and Meta). To measure whether those campaigns lead to signups and other key actions, we use:
| Cookie / Storage Key / Script | Purpose | Duration |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------- |
| Google Ads gtag (AW-*) | Loads Google's conversion tag with Consent Mode v2 so we can measure conversions from our ads when consent allows | Per Google |
| caddie_attr (first-party) | Stores ad click IDs (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid) and UTM parameters from landing URLs so a later signup can be attributed (last-click) | 90 days |
Server-side conversion uploads (Google Enhanced Conversions and Meta Conversions API) may send hashed identifiers and event metadata to those platforms solely to measure our campaigns. They are not used to sell your Personal Information or to build third-party advertising profiles for other companies.
Advertising measurement respects cookie consent (Accept All vs Essential Only) and DNT/GPC: without consent or when DNT/GPC is present, we do not capture first-party ad-click attribution for that session, and Consent Mode defaults ad storage to denied until you Accept All.
3. What We Do Not Do
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- No data broker cookies. We do not share cookie data with data brokers.
- No sale of Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No third-party ad network on-site. We do not fill the Service with third-party display ads that track you across the web for other advertisers.
- No unrestricted cross-site profiling for sale. Measurement tools described above exist to attribute our own campaigns, not to sell a browsing profile.
4. Third-Party Cookies and Scripts
The following third-party services may set cookies or receive measurement events when you use our Service:
- Privy (Authentication): Sets cookies necessary for secure authentication and session management. See Privy's Privacy Policy.
- Sentry (Error Monitoring): May set cookies for error tracking and diagnostics. Privacy masking is enabled to prevent collection of personal data. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.
- Google (Ads measurement): May set or read cookies related to conversion measurement when Consent Mode grants ad storage. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta (Ads measurement): Server-side Conversions API uploads when configured; browser
_fbpmay be read if already present on the domain. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
These third-party technologies are limited to the specific functionality described and are governed by each provider's own privacy policy.
5. Mobile Application
Our mobile application uses device identifiers and local storage rather than traditional browser cookies. These serve the same purposes described above (authentication, preferences, analytics) and are subject to the same controls.
Push notification tokens are stored on your device and our servers to deliver notifications you have opted into. You can manage push notification permissions through your device settings.
6. How to Control Cookies
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all sites
- Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies
Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from using the Service.
Cookie Consent Banner
On the web, you can choose Accept All or Essential Only. Essential Only keeps the Service working while denying analytics and advertising measurement storage under Google Consent Mode.
Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
We honor Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. When detected, we disable non-essential analytics and first-party ad-click attribution for that session.
In-App Controls
Within the Service, you can manage:
- Notification preferences (push, email, SMS)
- Data sharing preferences
- AI caddie opt-in/opt-out
- HealthKit connection
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification.
